carry (me) when my canes (a cane construction) collapses on to the ground.

it has only a temple frail and pretty.
(I ask you to*) walk with me across this bridge,
(through) the morning and the last evening.

I saw the wet planks in front of me,
some of them were already snapped away.
The dead’s graves in** the surges of the river,
would my place be there?
I close my eyes, can’t watch,
when can’t see to the oppposite shore.
And there’s no ground under feet,
my steps goes (lonely) as an orphan.

And now between the bleak sky and the stream,
I ask you to help.

I felt how your fingers grabbed
on to my adymanic arm.
And when the ropes cave in under my bridge,
you didn’t let go even then.

* “Kanssani kuljethan” is actually a kind of a request, but not a direct request, it’s more like a supplication like “I trust you’d do this for me, wouldn’t you?”. I don’t know can it be said in English, but “I ask you to” sounded the best on to my ear in this sentence.

** This would actually be “from” if I’d translate it directly, but seens it doesn’t tell the meaning well (at least I think so^^) I put there “in”… Feel free to correct me i you’ll make up a better translation. : )
